A broken bone is known as a fracture. This can simply be a crack or buckle in the structure of the bone, or a complete break, producing two or more fragments.
Causes
A fall or severe injury can cause a bone to fracture. Some older people who have thinning of the bones caused by Osteoporosis (Brittle Bones) are more at risk from suffering fractures as their bones are less dense and break more easily.
Other Possible Causes
Some professionals have seen fractures in children particularly infants after vaccine in particular DPT. Some parents have been falsely accused of child abuse when their child has been seen to have rib fractures and fractures to limbs similar to those attributed to children who have been violently shaken as in SBS or Shaken Baby Syndrome cases.
