Tapestry DisordersLisa Blakemore-Brown is a UK Psychologist and Author specialising in Autism and related disorders.In the 1990’s she began to notice that many of the children she was seeing and assessing had clusters of disorders rather than one specific disorder. These include Autism, Asperger Syndrome, ASD, ADHD/ADD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Epilepsy, Asthma, Eczema and Allergic Reactions.To describe these children she began using the metaphor ‘Tapestry’ or 'Tapestry Kids’.In her book ‘Reweaving the Autistic Tapestry’ she explains that the term 'Tapestry' describes a child’s unique interweave of disorders making up their particular tapestry or profile.The term 'Tapestry' is now used worldwide to describe these children.She believes that adverse reactions to vaccines, in particular a reaction to Thimerosal may be the cause of these children’s problems.Unfortunately because of her immense courage in speaking out on behalf of these children and the many parents she has met that have been accused of causing their disabilities, she has become a target and has joined an increasing list of professionals discredited by their Governing Bodies.
