Vomiting (also throwing up or emesis) is the forceful expulsion of the contents of one's stomach through the mouth and sometimes the nose.Diarrhoea involves frequent and loose motions. It is usually caused by inflammation of the large intestine, which is where the body removes most of the fluid from digested food. The major cause, in the context that we are referring to, is infection, but there are various other rarer causes which occasionally occur.CausesMost Diarrhoea and vomiting is caused by an infection. Vomiting may also occur with reflux or a hiatus hernia. Diarrhoea can be a symptom of Crohns disease or an Inflammation of the lining of the intestines.Other Possible Causes.Some professionals have linked diarrhoea and vomiting with adverse reactions to vaccines. Dr Andrew Wakefield in particular has linked the MMR and some children with Autism to a bowel disorder which causes diarrhoea and severe stomach pains.These symptoms have also been linked to a reaction to Thimerosal. |
